Mission and Goals
The Caroline House Mission is to enable women and children to reach the fullness of their potential through education in English language and life skills.
An important goal of Caroline House is to break down the barriers of social and physical isolation that have kept low-income immigrant women from building better lives. Although students come from different countries and backgrounds, they share similar challenges and life circumstances. Women form a supportive community which enriches their learning experience and builds confidence.
The objective for our children’s programs is to foster cognitive, social and emotional development. School days in the preschool program are filled with learning letters and numbers, sharing stories and songs, playing outside in our backyard, and participating in many learning and play activities. After-school and summer tutoring are additional key components of our family literacy programs. We educate and nurture children to encourage them to learn and grow at our center and continue toward a future of hope and opportunity.
